In St. George, a six-year-old boy with autism, who disappeared around 9 p.m. on Saturday, was found safe the following day within his apartment complex.
The child was discovered at 1:44 p.m. on Sunday in a vacant unit of the Avalon Apartments, according to Officer James Schafer from the St. George Police Department.
During a telephone interview, Schafer noted that the child had previously wandered off, but this was the first instance where he had been missing for such a long duration.
Schafer assured in a press statement that there was no evidence of foul play in the incident. He also expressed gratitude towards the community volunteers for their crucial role in locating the young boy.
